Hugging the baby belly

Some sand time before our flight

A quick bite to eat along the river walk in Milwaukee

Boise loves its bike races

Cecilia loves to watch bike races

Beautiful walk home from the bike race

Fun in the HOT Sun

Cecilia attended a few parties (with us) this month. The first was on the 4th of July, when she got to swim in a "real" pool. After that night, she expected there to be a pool at every party.

Thankfully she didnt mind not having a pool at her friend Dylan's birthday party.

It helped to have this slackline

Nature camp was a huge hit this summer
We absolutely love Boise Parks and Rec!

Camp teacher

Library time

Balancing girls

Setting up their umbrella

Soaking in the murky water at Eagle Island State Park

Cecilia seems to love the baby's inner tube

Some of the not-so-fun July events:
shopping for counter tops
&
working in the crawl space

Jam Packed July

We have lots of random pictures in the next few posts. We are still on the move, so we don't have time for much commentary. However, I know a there are some g-parents who are hoping to see some pictures of their grand daughter:)

YMCA Family Camp

A few things we learned while at camp:
Cecilia doesn't like to be the duffer in the boat; she wants to paddle!

Cecilia loves board games

Naps are tough when it is hot outside and there are coloring books nearby

This is something we already knew; she loves the beach

Marshmallows were a favorite

She likes to lead the way on nature walks

She loves staying up late

We took lots of nature walks

and saw many beautiful flowers and butterflies

This Trip Brought to You by Oma and Opa

Trevor and I often talk about parenthood and how is it such a wonderful adventure, full of fun and many sacrifices. You can never keep score as a parent and you will most definitely spend most of your life giving, giving, and giving to your children (and it is best to not to have expectations of what we should get in return). We are both lucky to have parents who give us so much in terms of love,  emotional (and sometimes financial) support, time...we could go on and on...

Lynda and Drew recently exuded every quality of our definition of parenthood when they came out to help us last month.
They spent 8+ days with Cecilia while we took off for Puerto Rico and a friend's wedding. They lived in a half-functioning home and bathed Cecilia in love and security while we bathed ourselves in the sun and surf. They also added wonderful touches to the house & yard, and improved the home in many ways. We cannot thank you enough!!

Saying goodbye

I do believe there may be a few intrinsic rewards that come with spending time with your grandchild.
